Microsoft Excel is Microsoft's spreadsheet program.
A spreadsheet is a rectangular grid of information, that can be used to
quickly complete calculations for you. It may take a while to set up a
spreadsheet but if you have to do the same set of calculations
over again then it will work out faster in the long run. The
information is split up into work sheets, columns and rows, the box
where a column and a row meet is called a cell. Cells can contain,
text, labels, numbers or formulas.
The information in a spreadsheet can be used to quickly create graphs
that can be a very powerful way of communicating the information
without the need for someone to look carefully at all of the data.
